GrooGrux Kings (Video)

Hey Everyone,

Its been a crazy few months playing a lot of shows, travelling and spending time with some pretty cool peeps. I have an awesome show that I’m extremely excited about that’s coming up very soon!

One of my most favourite bands since I was a youngster just starting out on the drums has been, Dave Matthews Band, I don’t know whether or not it was Carter Beauford’s groovy yet percussive and tasteful drumming or Dave’s unique voice on both the guitar and vocals. Not only from their studio albums but, especially their lives shows, they’ve hooked me in for a very long time. It has been an idea for the past couple years to start this band but all of the pieces just weren’t there until now! We are called The GrooGrux Kings, which is the title of DMB’s 7th studio album, our band replicates the same instrumentation (Line up) as DMB’s current touring band, except we have a keyboardist instead of a trumpeter. This allows us to play some more of their older repertoire as well as tunes off the previous two releases quite comfortably. We have been rehearsing the last couple weeks and could not be more excited to show everyone what we’ve been working on at our show November 15th @ Lee’s Palace!
